4 Reasons why our lecture series might be just what you need

1)    Motivation

There’s always a lot going on around the time of the CASC sittings. In January, revision often clashes with Christmas festivities, and in September, it can often collide with late summer plans. Observing our CASC stations and listening to the commentary can be one of the best motivations to pick out the areas that you need to work on, and keep you in the mood and zone for revision.

2)    Common themes

The CASC is all about balance. Demonstrating good clinical knowledge is important, but being aware of your limitations is also just as important. Demonstrating flexibility in a station is important, but not focussing on the task is just as important. In our ‘Common pitfalls & MSEs’ webinar, we specifically look at some of the most common challenges faced during the CASC, and zoom in on how to apply these principles on the mental state exam.

3)    Capacity Assessments

One of the most difficult areas that we not only found in our own experience, but from hearing from candidates year on year, has been in undertaking capacity assessments within a 7-minute CASC station. We have an entire lecture dedicated to ‘Liaison & Capacity Assessments’, and it is our most watched lecture on the series.

4)    Flexibility

You can easily listen to our lecture series on your laptop or phone, which means you can listen to our lectures absolutely anywhere, whether it be on your commute to work, or dare we say it, whilst away on holiday!
